How to Improve Self- Esteem

Do you know what the secret is to removing low-self-esteem? Is it a magic potion found in cosmetics, hair dye, or diet pills? Do you remove low-self-esteem in a yoga pose, a gym or the latest weight loss plan? Whether you have high or low-esteem is determined by how you—not your husband, not your friends, not society—but how “you”--feel about you.

When do we ever learn to love and accept ourselves? How many people do we need to say that we are beautiful for us to believe it? How many opinions does it take to validate our own self-worth for us to believe that we are valuable human beings? How many times do we have to hear that we are beautiful, successful, wonderful creatures for us to own it? Who has to say it for us to know that it is true? We do. We must validate our own beauty, our own self-esteem and our own self-worth. No one owes us. We owe ourselves.

For the most part, the majority of people are as screwed up as we are. They are searching outside of themselves for what is inside of their souls. The person who is 5’7’ and 104 pounds wish they were ten pounds bigger and curvier like their best friend. The friend weighting 114 pounds wishes she were 10 pounds thinner like her 104-pound friend. The blond beauty dyes her hair brunette and the brunette bombshell dyes her hair blond thinking that true beauty is the right shade in a bottle of hair dye.

The tall girl wears flat shoes so that she appears shorter and the short girl wears 5 inch heels so that she can appear taller. The person you envy envies someone else who she thinks is much more attractive than she is. When is it okay to accept the body you were born with? When and under what circumstances will this body be good enough for you?  How many pounds do you need to lose to get to the core of your real beauty?

What shades of hair are you looking for that will give you the beauty that you so desperately seek? What’s the magic number that will make you perfect? How many pounds do you need to lose to be really gorgeous? Who do you think you need to look like to be beautiful? Why do you think this person is more attractive than you? What’s wrong with you the way you are? No matter who you think of as being extraordinarily attractive, somebody won’t agree with you. So why not claim your own unique divine beauty!

Many people died today because their bodies were not healthy enough to carry their souls on earth. These people would give anything—anything—to be able to hug their child one more time, tell their mate that they love them just one more time, or merely watch a sunset one more time. They would gladly take your body. Appreciate your body it is your soul’s only source of transportation on earth.

One of the most important things that you can do to improve your confidence and self-esteem is to stop comparing yourself with people on televisions sitcoms, big screen movies, and fashion magazines. Look at the people in your community, at the grocery store, malls, schools, doctor’s office these are the lovely people who make the world go round. These are people who have not been airbrushed and their image is not projected from an angle of a camera. The secret to eliminating low self-esteem is to simply stop comparing yourself to anyone and appreciate your life.

Nail polish bottles have always been beautiful to me. In this diy how to make mini nail polish earrings; learn how to make cute miniature nail polish earrings.

Materials needed  to make your own handmade craft earrings are  hair beads, mini hot glue sticks, hot glue gun, eye pins, and fishhook earrings. Nail polish is optional. I prefer to use the clear beads, then paint on the inside because it looks more realistic. However, you may use the color beads of your choice.

How to Find Yourself

I have so much to say or shall I say ask…is there a difference between finding your way and being lost? Ultimately, the results are the same, but I think there is a difference. If one is lost, we can assume that this person knows where there home is; however for one reason or another they have lost their way back to where they belong.

On the other hand, if a person is seeking to find their way—I would argue that they do not have a home or place to which they feel they belong…

So… I deleted all of my dirty YouTube videos – I mean they were never dirty to me personally—but this tends to be the view of most mainstream, normal people. So I cleaned up my Authentik Beauty Handmade Doll Crafts YouTube channel.

I want my YouTube channel to grow, so I decided that it was time to clean up my act. The very next day, someone commented below my video, “eeewww  your dolls have boobs. Hey keep it family friendly!”

My first thought was to respond to them, “Why don’t you get the psychological help you deserve and need desperately—but then I decided to simply delete the comment. This person had just missed by less than 24 hours the intimate relationship between Jungle Beauty Goddess Sinai and Mr. Moon Man Lover on YouTube for all the world to see.

Family friendly? I don’t think I know what that is. So, I have decided that I can never be clean enough, proper enough, or good enough to be where I don’t belong- a hair will always be out of place.

In all of my doll clothes, crafts, shoes, etc tutorials, I would explain to viewers that they could adjust the patterns to fit their Monster High, American Girl, and Barbie dolls. I banged on the door for them to please let me into their mainstream doll club.

In the comment box below several of my videos people frequently comment, “ your dolls are creepy.”  Delete.

They don’t even know how creepy my dolls really are. They tell me stories, give advice, and share life lessons from other galaxies. Sometimes, I refuse to make eye contact with them in fear that it is an invitation for a conversation that I am not in the mood for.

My Authentik Beauty and Jungle Beauty Goddess dolls are alive. Seriously. So, I have come to the conclusion that it is okay for me to create craft tutorial videos—but my primary focus needs to shift to sharing my doll’s stories. This is why they have come to visit planet earth.

I have tried my best to ignore them or sell them—but they refuse to leave until their voices are heard. The problem is-- I am really shy and nervous on camera, but I need to find my way home to where  I belong. The place where I can be the same person on and off camera—my silly, serious self.

I am really grateful to the person who commented, “eeewww…” about my dolls—you made me finally realize and accept my doll’s stories, lessons, and advice are not for children or people who prefer the surface of the status quo.
The most important lesson that I have learned is that you don’t find your audience or your tribe until you find your “real” self and express your authentic truth…shamelessly and unapologetically.

And in the famous words of Forrest Gump, “That’s all I have to say about that.”
