Letter to Santa Template Christmas Activities for Kids

Christmas Countdown with The Jungle Beauty Goddesses

Many parents are looking for Christmas activities for their children that have meaning beyond consumerism. Traditionally, children would write a letter to Santa Claus asking for a gifts. What if Santa Clause wrote a letter to your child sending them on a secret mission to help people less fortunate? Here is a letter template for a  Christmas mission project that your kids will never forget.

Write a letter from Santa Claus to your children informing them that their help is desperately needed to help people who are hungry and less fortunate than themselves. State in the letter that it would help him and his elves if they could donate their old toys that are in good condition to a local homeless shelter, volunteer in a soup kitchen, or deliver meals to seniors who are home-bound and on a limited budget.

Here is sample letter to  Santa Clause Template:

Dear Joey (Insert your child’s name):

First and foremost, I want to thank you for being such a wonderful kid. I am so proud of you for (insert something meaningful) turning in all of your homework assignments in on time, helping your sister with the dishes after dinner, and telling your mom the truth about breaking the vacuum cleaner.
As you know, this is a super busy time of the year for me, and even with the help of the elves…I still need help to make sure that no one is hungry and no child is without a toy on Christmas day. Joey (insert your child’s name), I need your help this year so that people who have less than you can have a Christmas.  I know you are on break from school, but I really, really, really need you to be on Angel Duty this year.

This is a Secret Society of Santa’s helpers that very few people know about. It is a special honor and only honest, hardworking, compassionate kids like yourself are invited to be a part of this organization.

If you decide to be on Angel Duty this Christmas, here is a list of things you can do to help:

  • Please donate any of your old toys and clothes to a nearby homeless shelter. Call your friends and family members and ask them to do the same. Do not tell them you are on a secret mission. Some people do not believe in Santa Claus or Angels.

  • Please shovel the snow and take out the garbage for Mr. Johnson 2 doors down. He is 95-years-old and his legs are not as strong as they use to be. Make sure that you ask your parent’s first.

  • When you go back to school after Christmas break, please select Peter to be on your team in gym class. Peter has autism. But in every other way he just like all of the other kids in school. Joey he really needs your help.

You are allowed to tell your parent’s about this letter and place it next to my cookies and milk. I will pick it up on Christmas when I deliver your gifts.

Sincerely,

Santa Claus

After Christmas is over, send your child an Angel Duty Certificate from Santa Clause thanking them for their service.

Sincerely,

The Jungle Beauty Goddesses
